WORK PROFILE 

It is the most prestigious job in India being an officer in Reserve Bank Of India. Many people think that it they are recruited as a Grade B officer or in  RBI, they have to make monetory policies but this is absolutely wrong. It is purely 9 to 5 job with no extra working hours and working in shifts.

Your work profile will depend on where you are posted. There are different duties and responsibilities in different departments which are as follows:-

• Being the part of central bank, you will be managing all the government and central bank accounts.
• The foremost important task will be maintaining the circulation of currency and coins issued by RBI.
• Checking and maintaining financial stability .
• You will be responsible for maintaining proper functioning of the economy.
• Designing various guidelines for PSBs and other banks. 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

As this is the most preferable job in banking sector, so its salary is completely different and much more than the other public sector banks including State Bank Of India. • The revised Salary Structure is as Rs. 35150/- – 62400/-.
• Basic Pay – Rs. 35,150/- p.m. along with other allowances. 
• Gross Pay ~ Rs. 75,831/- p.m.

• After appointment you will reside in the RBI Residence.
• You will also be given a Fuel Allowance ~150 lts.
• Your Annual Medical Allowance will be ~ Rs. 4,500/- on declaration.

• RBI provides Food/Grocery Sodexo Coupons to its employees ~ Rs. 2000/-
• LTC/LFC Tour Allowance ~ every 2 years around Rs 100000 per person for dependents (upto 4 members).

The exam will be in three phases that are as follows:-

PHASE 1- It will be constituted of 4 sections namely:

• GENERAL AWARENESS - 80 MARKS
• ENGLISH LANGUAGE - 30 MARKS
• QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE- 30 MARKS
• REASONING ABILITY- 60 MARKS

PHASE 2- It will consist of three papers  namely:-

• ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL ISSUES- 100 MARKS
• ENGLISH - DESCRIPTIVE - 100 MARKS
• FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT -100 MARKS

PHASE 3- After qualifying phase 2 there will be an INTERVIEW of 50 marks.
